Job Description

Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for selling and the solicitation of new equipment sales to both new and existing end users in the food service and non-food service segments.  You have a proven record of sales success, strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques, must enjoy selling on the phone and working in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated with high energy and engaging level of enthusiasm and have a high level of integrity and work ethic.  You must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word, power point, excel).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming leads from multiple sources including emails, web inquiries, trade shows, and technician referrals to identify the highest value sales opportunities.
  • Manage leads through the complete sales cycle from initial contact through quoting, including providing clients with equipment options and flexible payment solutions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate opportunity records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring proper lead and opportunity management.
  • Collaborate with field sales representatives across different territories to coordinate on shared opportunities and maximize deal closure.
  • Work closely with the service department to understand customer installation needs, equipment history, and technical requirements for accurate quoting and setup.
  • Partner with the customer care team on order creation, invoicing, payment processing, and delivery coordination to ensure seamless customer handoff.
  • Sell a diverse range of Hobart food service equipment and related products based on customer needs and business requirements.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the sales process to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss payment terms
  • Follow-up with existing customers via telephone and e-mail
  • Prepare customer quotations leading to the sale of food equipment
  • Proactively calling existing clients to develop new opportunities

 Requirements:

  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of direct work experience in a sales or telesales capacity
  • Sales experience in the food service industry or equipment sales industry preferred
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar platforms for lead and opportunity management.
  • Strong competency with quoting and proposal tools, spreadsheet applications, and document creation software such as Auto Quotes, Word or PowerPoint to support the sales process.

We Offer:

  • Base Compensation between $50,000 – $55,000 depending on relevant experience, competencies etc. + $15,000 – $20,000 in commission + Incentive.  Commissions and incentives are all based on performance.
