Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada you will be responsible for outside selling and the solicitation of commercial food service equipment to both new and replacement customers. You will be responsible for territory management of assigned dealers, consultants and end users within Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwestern Ontario.
A professional Sales Representative with 5 plus years of direct work experience in a sales role, strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques. You have a customer focus mind-set, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, prioritize responsibilities, consistently meet deadlines and have strong organizational skills. You will be results and solutions-oriented, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to continually increase sales and grow our business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and grow both internal and external customer relationships and revenue in region.
- Have a proven track record of sales growth in the Foodservice and/or Food Retail industry.
- Provide sales leads to dealer accounts, monitor dealer activity and promote participation in sales and equipment stocking programs.
- Manage equipment sales with our channel partners targeting institutional and healthcare accounts, independent and chain restaurants, casinos, business and industry accounts as well as other independent retail and foodservice accounts.
- Assist dealer representatives with specifying of ITW branded equipment and services, product updates, end user leads, preparation of quotes, tracking and securing of orders.
- Provide training and technical information as needed on all equipment brands to channel partners while insuring the dealer representative is proficient and comfortable with all products to be supported by the channel partner.
- Manage projects with end users, general contractors and Foodservice dealers in assigned territory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of Auto Quotes (AQ) is required.
- Attend all local industry functions and travel across Canada as needed to support the company and customers, including occasional travel to the United States.
- Provide channel partners and end users with solution based selling proposals.
- Submit timely reports on sales activity, competitive information and market conditions.
