When combined with Hobart’s 22.8 cm Vegetable Slicer attachment or the power dicer, the Hobart power drive unit is an ideal secondary food machine, perfect for slicing, shredding, cutting or grating.

Each powered by a ½-H.P. motor, the stainless steel PD35 and PD70 power drives generate speeds of 350 rpm and 700 rpm, respectively. Both are suited for the 22.8 cm vegetable slicer, which simply attaches with a convenient thumbscrew. Built Hobart tough for long life and dependable operation, they have a hardened steel output shaft with a poly V-belt transmission.

Although it can be used as an attachment for any Hobart mixer or food cutter, the VS9 Vegetable Slicer shows its true flexibility with the PD35 and PD70 power drive units. You just slide it on the power drive hub, tighten with the thumbscrew and you have a powerful and flexible food-prep system.

With the VS9 Vegetable Slicer, you can cut cabbage for salads and coleslaw; slice potatoes ranging in thickness from thin potato chips to; slice nuts, bananas, cucumbers, celery, and other vegetables and fruits; shred or grate cheese, raw carrots, beets and process just about any product you want with speed and precision.

The food is sliced by stainless steel scimitar knives for fast, clean, uniform cutting. The hinged front permits quick and easy changing of plates for cleaning. Together, the PD35 and PD70 bring powerful flexibility to any kitchen.
